Becoming the face of the label’s second nostalgia-based La Collection Memento N.2 for Spring 2018 is something interesting for Britney spears - a tribute to the debut of Kenzo Jeans in 1986.
Bringing back that loud, ’80s attitude by Kenzo’s creative directors, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon. The shooting took place in LA by Peter Lindbergh.
The collection is big on denim, showcases tigers and The Great Wave of Kanagawa.
The shooting reveals the fun on set especially that it was on street.
Although Spears is a 36-year-old working mom of two but her sexiness couldn’t leave Kenzo without choosing her for their new campaign. The new outlook inspired her to embrace more playfulness in her outfits and current wardrobe.
Kenzo co-creative director Humberto Leon said in a statement. "When we were designing the collection, I was like, 'If I can have a dream person, who would I want to be in denim? It has to be Britney.' Britney is the queen of denim to me."
“It’s tricky because as a mother, you don’t take as much risk with your style,” she says. “I think when I was younger I took so many risks and really went for it. There was no planning what I wore, and it was like, okay, I am just going to put on the most outrageous thing. I think as a mother you hold back from that out of fear of embarrassing your kids and out of respect for them.”
She also said that her sons sometimes give her the confidence she needs to mix things up as they like to wear things that define them with a special style especially that they are growing up and becoming their own people. She respects them by doing their own thing.
