Stress is an inevitable part of life, we all know that we experience stress or anxiety daily, we can’t deny that it interferes at least moderately with our life.
It’s impossible to eliminate, but you can learn to manage stress and most people usually do.
There’s many different coping techniques to reduce stress like: listening to music, watching TV, talking with a friend… but physical exercising may be the one most recommended by health care professionals.
The physical benefits of exercise:
1. Improving physical condition and fighting disease:
Physicians always encourage staying physically active.
Exercise is also considered vital for maintaining mental fitness, and it can reduce stress.
2. Improving mental health:
When stress affects the brain, with its many nerve connections, the rest of the body feels the impact as well.
So, it stands to reason that if your body feels better, so does your mind.
Exercise and other physical activity produce endorphins - chemicals in the brain that act as natural painkillers and also improve the ability to sleep, which in turn reduces stress.
3. Improving and stabilizing the mood:
Scientists have found that regular participation in aerobic exercises has been shown to decrease overall levels of tension, elevate and stabilize mood, improve sleep, and improve self-esteem.
Don’t let stress be the vampire of your energy, I know exactly how it feels when our body and mind are drained because of fatigue, anxiety and tension and we think that we can’t do anything about it. But let me tell you something, we can just do it, we can put our clothes on, subscribe in the gym - mine is Fitness Zone of course - and participate in their different kind of classes. Believe me, you will feel the difference because any exercise can stimulate anti-anxiety effects and you will end up feeling good, energetic and happy.
